Most small businesses do not need accounting software. They need to know how much came in, how much went out, and what is left — without a paper register that a spilled cup of tea can end.
Ledgerly is that, on a phone. An entry takes seconds: amount, contact, category, note and a photo of the receipt. The balance updates as you go, and a report for any day, week, month or custom range is one tap away as a PDF someone else can read.
Two things make it work past the first month. Businesses are kept properly separate, each with its own books, so a second venture does not contaminate the first. And staff can be invited to a specific book with a specific permission level — view-only, add, edit or full — which is what makes it safe to let anyone but the owner touch it.
Backups go to the owner's own Google Drive, and the app locks behind a PIN or a fingerprint, with a hide-amounts mode for when the phone is out in public.
