Challenge & Strategy
DQCB needed to present extensive regulatory content accessibly for the public and maintainably for staff, while achieving strong SEO and seamless performance across devices. We implemented a mobile-first, component-based front end with semantic HTML, CSS media queries, and jQuery, backed by a secure Laravel/MySQL framework. A headless WordPress CMS empowered non-technical content updates, and we baked in SEO best practices—optimized metadata, clean URLs, and asset compression—from day one.
How We Did It:
We began with Figma wireframes to define flows for Home, Board Members, About, Missions, Events, and Contact. On the front end, we built responsive, reusable components for profiles, mission summaries, event lists, and FAQs. The back end used Laravel controllers and Eloquent models—secured by validation middleware—to handle data and submissions, while a headless WordPress CMS delivered blog and FAQ content via RESTful APIs. Finally, an SB-Admin–style dashboard centralized content, event scheduling, and SEO metadata management.

The Results
- Enhanced public engagement through easy access to mission statements and event details.
- Streamlined content update workflows, allowing staff to publish new events and member profiles without developer support.
- Improved SEO visibility for regulatory and drug safety keywords, driving increased organic traffic.
- Consistent, responsive performance across devices, resulting in longer average session durations.
- Centralized admin dashboard reduced administrative overhead and accelerated content publishing.
